Oven / Range Repair Near Me in Auburn, Central New York

Ovens that don't hold temperature are usually caused by a faulty temperature sensor (RTD probe) or a weak bake/broil element. Power fluctuations common in older NYC buildings can also damage oven control boards. We diagnose with a digital thermometer test and replace the failing component.

Yes. A worn or damaged oven door gasket causes heat loss, longer cooking times, and wasted energy. We replace oven door gaskets for all brands and can also realign doors that have dropped or warped over time.

A brief gas smell when lighting is normal — that's unburned gas before ignition. A persistent gas smell or a smell after the oven is lit is NOT normal and requires immediate attention. Turn off the oven, ventilate the kitchen, and call ProFix at (929) 699-8358.

A self-clean cycle that won't start or complete is usually caused by a faulty door latch motor, a tripped thermal fuse, or a failing control board. We diagnose and replace the specific failing component.

All repairs come with a 90-day parts & 30-day labor warranty covering both parts and labor. If the same issue recurs within 90 days, we return and fix it at no additional charge.

A good rule of thumb: if the repair cost is less than 50% of the replacement cost, repair is usually the better choice. Our technicians will give you an honest assessment — we won't push a repair that doesn't make financial sense.
