Washer Repair Near Me in Central Square & Phoenix, Central New York

Mold and mildew growth inside the drum and door seal — especially in front-load washers — is the main cause of bad odors. NYC apartment humidity can worsen this. Leave the door open between cycles and run a monthly cleaning cycle. If the smell persists, the gasket or drum may need professional cleaning or replacement.

Detergent residue is common in apartment washers that are overloaded or use too much detergent. HE (high-efficiency) front-load washers in particular require HE detergent in small amounts. Mineral buildup can also clog the drum spray ports — we can descale and clean the internals.

Drainage issues are very common in NYC apartment washers. A clogged pump filter (often from coins, lint, or small items), a failed drain pump, or a kinked drain hose are the most frequent causes. We'll diagnose and clear the drain, replace the pump if necessary, and do a full drainage test before leaving.

Violent shaking is caused by worn shock absorbers, broken drum support bearings, or an unleveled machine. In NYC apartments, floor vibration can make this worse and disturb neighbors. Our technicians level, inspect bearings, and replace shocks or suspension rods as needed.

All repairs come with a 90-day parts & 30-day labor warranty covering both parts and labor. If the same issue recurs within 90 days, we return and fix it at no additional charge.

A good rule of thumb: if the repair cost is less than 50% of the replacement cost, repair is usually the better choice. Our technicians will give you an honest assessment — we won't push a repair that doesn't make financial sense.
